Shopping & Dining: A major shopping mall, Carousel Center, is within a 10 minute drive from all of the communities within the Town of Salina. Each community has local shops which provide the basic necessities required for every day living. There are many chain restaurants which include Colorado Mining Company, Applebee's, Denny's and Arby's. Local restaurants include The Clam Bar, Hafner's, Mothers, Santangelo's, The Retreat and Heid's - the famous hot dog stand.

Parks/Lakes/Recreation: The Town of Salina Parks and Recreation Department sponsors recreational programs for people of all ages and for all seasons. These programs encompass eight parks (Burnham, Richfield, Duerr, Primrose, Sunflower, Wemesfelder, Sehr and Schaffer) which consist of over one hundred acres of land. In addition, the Town of Salina has four municipal swimming pools, one in each of the four wards, which provide recreational and learn-to-swim programs, seven days a week during the summer months.
